A Family Shatters

Rafael del Col was 35 when he lost his wife, Tatiane Valques, at age 27. They had a beautiful daughter together and had been in love for a decade when Tatiana was killed in a road accident.

A Way to Remember Her

Rafael decided to recreate his and Tatiane’s engagement photos with their daughter in place of her.

Just Like Mommy

She even got to wear her mother’s high heels.

Grieving Dad Holds it Together

“Shortly after I lost my wife, I was seeking help regarding early widowhood and also paternity without the presence of the mother and found almost nothing. Now, thank God, things are adjusting slowly, my daughter is well, and is growing, developing normally.” said Rafael.

She Will Always Have These Photos

“…beside my responsibilities with my princess, I need to deal with feelings of grief, and the loss of my partner with whom I lived for 10 wonderful years.” he said.

Creepy

Some say that this was a strange way to replace his wife. We think it was just a good dad trying to keep the memory of a little girl’s mom alive.

Never Alone

With his daughter and the oldest dog in the world, Rafael will never truly be alone.
